Marsbert,

Wow! So intricate and visually stunning! I love them all, the flames are great. You are very talented to come up with these!

Really great,,,,, I'm well impressed. We really need more stuff like this, everything is so girly (not that I'm complaining) but when it comes to making quilled gifts for boys it is quite a struggle.

Did you do these designs yourself or did you follow a pattern? I also agree you are very talented.

Sam

I made it up myself as I went along, I also ran out of the dark green I used for most of him so I had to use a lighter green for the tail and make it look like it was supposed to be a different shade and not make him look strange or stupid.

I'm glad you guys like him! I agree Sam, everything here is kinda "girly"- I am not complaining either, I enjoy those kinds of layouts and enjoy doing them, but I wanted to try something different, I love dragons so I thought it would be cool to make one/.

Hi Marsbert,

Excellent! You must be a fan of dragon. It looks lively with the flames. I love this cute and lovely dragon.

I actually cut my 1/8th strips in half at different lengths (none longer than about an inch), then glued them all together at one end but so that they fanned out, that way when i glued it to the dragon's mouth, it was a more sturdy stick-like bit and when it dried i curled the other ends in different directions.

I saw this and showed it to my boys (age 9 & 5) and they said it was "AWESOME" - I agree. Well done.
