Description: Welcome to the world Kayla! This card was actually quite difficult to make. I cut the letter out of a stiff sheet of card, then let that be the frame as I filled the inside. I used paper clips to add height so the frame was off the surface, letting the quilling paper have something to push up against. When it came time to make the outer ring of burgundy, the insides were too fragile to hold the shape on it's own. It may have been different if I had chosen a font that had sharp cornered serifs. Usually when I frame something, my outer quilling paper is the thick version sold at Michaels, but this burgundy (my fave) is not sold in a heavy weight. In any case, it wasn't as smooth sailing as I imagined in my head. Glueing the entire letter was a challenge too - done in 3 parts, because the middle connection area allowed too much movement.

Description: A special gift for a special girl. The frame is a 9x9" shadow box from Ikea. The "jade" letters are outlined and printed on a sheet of card. I cut it out from it's background and filled the insides with flowers and swirls. I then put folded posts underneath to raise it .5" high, and glued on polka dot patterned scrapbook paper. The background swirl was glued in place after the letters were set. I think the one swirl that was allowed to come forward to brush the "j" adds to the depth. Of course the cherry on top of the cupcake is the pi�ce de r�sistance.

Description: This bassinet on this Baby Shower Card is my own husking design. The dove is borrowed from Alli's Noah's Ark project. The couple didn't know the gender of the baby so I came up with "Boy? Girl?" on the front and "Blessing" inside the card. The words were cut with a Cricut machine.
