Description: The inspiration for these flowers came from my cousin's flower garden. Trust me, the flowers look exactly like the photo I took. I tried something different with the "fringing" on these flowers. I cut the petals off of a 1 inch 8-petal daisy paper punch and glued 16 of them individually (overlapping them by halves) onto an 1/8 inch quilling strip (and tore off any extras after rolling). So the flowers aren't truly "fringed" but they were rolled that way and I really like the look of the rounded petals. The centers are deep red, deep rose or purple, and white glued end to end.

Description: I fashioned this bracelet out of a necklace chain by removing a number of links and adding magnetic clasps on the ends. The flower and leaves are simple but I'm most happy with the acrylic sealer I used. I had never used a sealer before and I like the way it didn't change the appearance of quilling. I got the sealer at Wal-Mart for under $5 and it's in a blue, black, and white can. The can says "Plaid / Patricia Nimocks / Decorative Crafts / Clear Acrylic Sealer / Matte / CS200306"

Description: This is a fill in of a logo for my friend's sorority. I used a metallic marker over the tops of the silver coils to really bring out the shine. I also rolled the silver coils in a strange way. The silver paper is only silver on one side so when it's rolled, the middle of the coil is white. I remedied this by gluing silver on silver end to end but one piece was silver up and the other piece was silver down so when rolled it showed silver on the inner coils and the outer. It's hard to explain but I like the way it turned out.

Description: This was the perfect use of my nephew�s crimper. I crimped an entire length of paper first, then straightened out the other parts of the leaf, and left the crimped part on top undisturbed. There are 3 shades of green, going for a variegated effect. I think it adds more depth than just using the same color.

Description: part cut, part quilled rendition of a passionflower. I took this from a photo out of a gardening book. I then added coloured chalk to tone down the white of the petals and make it look more realistic and made tendrils like those that the passion flower uses to cling onto things.
